The role
We are looking for a BI Engineer to design, migrate, and evolve dashboards in Power BI, taking direct responsibility for ensuring that the data reaching the business is correct, accurate, and fully validated.
What you'll do
- Report Analysis: You will analyze existing reports, performing an inventory of views, measures, and consumed fields, as well as understanding the business logic embedded within them.
- Design and Migration: You will design and build dashboards, migrating existing reports and repointing them to new data sources without loss of functionality.
- Semantic Modeling: You will model the semantic layer hand-in-hand with data engineering, optimizing performance and the user experience.
- Validation and Parallel Runs: You will lead parallel running periods, systematically comparing figures between the old and new systems, analyzing discrepancies, and performing formal validation before the final decommissioning.
- Data Quality: You will contribute to the quality rules of the domains that feed the reports.
- Support: You will train business users and support the production rollout.
