About the role

At KAVE we are a brand that, in addition to designing, manufacturing, and selling furniture and decor, is driving an ambitious digital transformation to deliver an excellent omnichannel experience.

Our international team of more than 1,100 people and a technology organization of around 100 professionals work on business-critical digital products: B2C e-commerce, B2B e-commerce, physical stores, franchises, and multiple integrations with corporate systems.

We have grown quickly and today we live with a fragmented ecosystem. We are at a key moment: simplifying the architecture, refactoring capabilities, and evolving toward an enterprise headless e-commerce platform that allows us to better operate all our sales channels.

We are looking for a senior Frontend person to technically lead the evolution of the digital experience layer on a headless architecture. Our frontend will continue to be built with Next.js, so this position will be key in defining how new enterprise commerce capabilities are integrated into the web experience in a robust, scalable, and efficient way.

This role will have a direct impact on the quality, performance, and maintainability of the digital channel, ensuring an excellent experience for B2C and B2B customers, stores, and franchisees, and helping make relevant technical decisions in a strategic transformation for the company.

What you'll do

- Be technically responsible for key Frontend initiatives within the e-commerce transformation, defining architecture, phases, risks, dependencies, and end-to-end quality criteria.

- Design scalable Frontend solutions on Next.js for a headless architecture, anticipating trade-offs in performance, SEO, rendering, and operability.

- Define integration patterns with APIs and enterprise commerce services (for example, VTEX, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, SAP Commerce Cloud, or equivalent platforms), ensuring clear contracts, resilience, and a good developer experience.

- Raise the team's technical level through mentoring of N1/N2 profiles and support in architecture, performance, and quality decisions.

- Influence cross-functional decisions with product, business, UX, data, and other technical teams, providing judgment on impact, risk, operating cost, and sequencing.

- Lead the Frontend quality strategy: Core Web Vitals, testing, observability, tracking, and regression prevention in production.

- We value: humility and shared success (Here to belong); technical quality and attention to detail (Here to inspire); experimentation and continuous improvement (Here to disrupt); focus on results and reliable delivery (Here to deliver); learning and mentoring (Here to grow).

- We expect: impact beyond your own squad, comfort with ambiguity, high autonomy, judgment to simplify without compromising the future, and the ability to make others better.

- Design and evolve the Frontend architecture on Next.js, SSR/ISR/CSR, and Vercel, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and a solid foundation for a headless model.

- Define the integration between frontend and catalog, pricing, stock, checkout, promotions, identity, content, and order management APIs.

- Lead web performance decisions and optimize Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP), loading strategies, caching, images, navigation, and build times.

- Ensure technical SEO in SSR scenarios, hybrid rendering, and incremental generation, preserving organic visibility and indexing quality.

- Drive frontend testing and quality standards: E2E tests, automated validations, quality gates, and post-deploy discipline.

- Design a reliable analytics and tracking layer together with business and data teams to properly measure conversion, behavior, and experimentation.

- Contribute to the evolution of the Design System and UI/UX standards, accessibility, and visual consistency when the product requires it.

- Participate in technical evaluations of platforms and partners from a Frontend perspective: fit-gaps, integration effort, performance impact, flexibility, and cost of change.

- Document key decisions through ADRs, design reviews, diagrams, and practical guides to facilitate team scalability.

- You will apply and grow in: Next.js, React, TypeScript, Vercel, efficient API integration, Frontend architecture design, web performance, Core Web Vitals, technical SEO, E2E testing, observability, analytics, technical documentation, and headless e-commerce best practices.

Nice to have

- Experience integrating or evolving enterprise/headless commerce platforms such as VTEX, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, SAP Commerce Cloud, or equivalent will be especially valued.

- Additional experience in experimentation, A/B testing, advanced analytics, Design Systems, WCAG accessibility, and monorepo or micro-frontend architectures will be valued.

- You use AI tools responsibly to accelerate work, validating results, measuring impact, and documenting relevant decisions.

What you'll get

- The opportunity to technically lead a strategic transformation in an international company with a first-class brand, product, and digital channel.

- A real architecture and business challenge: building the Frontend experience of an enterprise headless e-commerce ecosystem across multiple channels.

- The possibility of working with multidisciplinary product, backend, data, UX, and platform teams in an environment where technology has a direct impact on the business.

- Space to influence relevant decisions, drive standards, and leave a clear mark on KAVE's technological evolution.

- You will enjoy a unique workspace with new, open, and sustainable offices.

- Fresh fruit available every morning. Catering available plus a dining area for meals.

- Attractive compensation that includes a flexible benefits plan (health insurance, restaurant card, transport card, and childcare expenses).

- Gym with 24/7 access availability.

Requirements

- Solid experience as a senior Frontend engineer in production, leading complex developments and relevant technical decisions on digital products with significant traffic and business criticality.

- Demonstrable experience with Next.js, React, TypeScript, and deployments on Vercel (or others) in real production environments.

- Deep knowledge of API integration and headless architectures, including state management for loading, error, caching, authentication, and data consistency states in the user experience.

- Experience in e-commerce environments or transactional digital products, with sensitivity to conversion, funnel, catalog, checkout, promotions, pricing, stock, and omnichannel experience.

- High level of web performance and Core Web Vitals optimization, as well as judgment to balance user experience, SEO, delivery capacity, and maintainability.

- Experience defining Frontend testing strategies, quality automation, observability, and production incident analysis.

- Ability to design robust and simple solutions, constructively challenge proposals, manage ambiguity, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Experience mentoring other engineering profiles and raising team standards through feedback, pairing, documentation, and technical sessions.
