Senior Backend Engineer

• As a backend developer, you will be part of the core of our engineering team, designing and maintaining the server-side infrastructure that brings our application to life for millions of walkers around the world. You will work in close collaboration with our mobile, product, and data teams to deliver reliable, high-quality features at scale. In your day-to-day: You will design, develop, and maintain robust RESTful APIs and backend services using NestJS. You will design and optimize data models and queries in PostgreSQL to ensure performance and scalability. You will be responsible for implementing and managing caching strategies with Redis to ensure large-scale responsiveness. You will use Google Cloud Platform services (Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, etc.) to deploy and manage the backend infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with the React Native mobile team to define and refine API contracts.
