What we're looking for

Completed training in the agricultural field, such as Agricultural Engineering, Agronomic Engineering, Degree in Agricultural Sciences, Higher Level Vocational Training in Agriculture, or similar degrees
Practical knowledge of the agricultural environment and motivation to develop your professional career in field activities
Previous experience in seed production is not essential. We value both recent graduates with practical contact with the agricultural sector and professionals with initial experience
Interest and ability to organize activities, coordinate people, and progressively assume supervisory responsibilities
Proactive, resourceful, communicative person with the ability to work in a team and adapt to the needs of the campaigns
Valid Class B driver's license. Possession of a B+E license will be positively valued
Availability to work on-site in Aguilar de Campoo and schedule flexibility during periods of higher activity
Basic knowledge of office tools and willingness to learn new digital applications
Good command of Spanish and knowledge of English, or interest and willingness to develop your skills in this language

Nice to have

Practical experience in agricultural holdings, plant production, field trials, or related activities
Previous experience coordinating teams or agricultural activities

The role

At KWS Semillas Ibérica, we are looking to incorporate a Field Technician (m/f/d) into our team in Aguilar de Campoo (Palencia).

If you have training in the agricultural field, enjoy working directly in the field, and are interested in developing yourself in the seed sector, we would like to meet you!

You will be part of a technical team dedicated to the production of seeds for different crops, in both experimental and commercial activities. You will work in close collaboration with the Crop Coordinator and other KWS professionals, participating in the planning, execution, and supervision of agricultural activities.

This is a permanent, full-time position, which will provide you with the opportunity to acquire specialized knowledge, progressively assume new responsibilities, and contribute to the development of our production and research projects.

What you'll do

Participate in the planning, execution, and monitoring of seed production activities, mainly for sugar beet, among other crops
Supervise the different stages of cultivation, including soil preparation, sowing, fertilization, phytosanitary treatments, monitoring crop development, and harvesting
Organize and coordinate daily field activities, distributing tasks and supervising their correct execution by the work teams
Perform monitoring of plots and trials, as well as data collection and documentation of agricultural activities
Collaborate in the management of machinery, agricultural equipment, materials, and operations related to seed processing
Coordinate activities with other technicians, farmers, suppliers, and internal teams, ensuring compliance with KWS quality and safety standards
Participate in the implementation of new techniques, digital tools, and improvements in production processes
Travel to different production areas, mainly in northern Spain, according to the needs of the agricultural campaigns
