What you'll do

  • Define, develop and implement executive compensation policies, criteria and models, ensuring their alignment with the corporate strategy, sustainable value creation and Mapfre's competitive positioning in the market. 
  • Lead the design, review and management processes for fixed and variable compensation schemes, short- and long-term incentive programs, share-based plans and other compensation elements aimed at national and international executive groups. 
  • Act as a reference expert in executive compensation, taxation and international mobility, providing specialized advice to the People and Organization Management, Senior Management, governing bodies and other corporate areas. 
  • Drive strategic projects in this field, participating in multidisciplinary initiatives and coordinating the implementation of improvements, new policies or regulatory changes that impact the management of the Group's executive compensation. 
  • Analyze market trends, compensation studies and national and international best practices with the aim of formulating proposals that allow the compensation model to evolve and strengthen the value proposition for management groups. 
  • Coordinate the preparation of technical information and specialized documentation for committees, boards of directors, regulators and external institutions, ensuring the quality, consistency and reliability of the reported information. 
  • Oversee the correct application of executive compensation policies and processes in the different geographic areas of operation, promoting consistent criteria and ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations. 
  • Participate in the job evaluation processes for management and executive positions, providing analysis and recommendations that facilitate organizational and compensation decision-making. 
  • Manage relationships with external advisors, specialized providers and other reference entities, fostering knowledge exchange and the incorporation of innovative practices that contribute to the continuous improvement of the function. 
  • Prepare complex analyses, executive reports and decision scenarios to support the definition of compensation strategies and the resolution of highly complex, high-impact issues for the organization. 
  • Share knowledge and exercise a technical reference role within the organization, contributing to the development of capabilities and the evolution of executive compensation practices in the Group.

What profile are we looking for?

  • Education: University degree in Law, Business Administration, Economics or related disciplines. A double degree in Law + Business Administration will be especially valued. Postgraduate degree or specialization in Compensation, Benefits, Taxation, Human Resources or related fields.
  • Experience:
    • Solid experience, over 5 years, in executive compensation, compensation and benefits, taxation and/or international mobility.
    • Experience in international corporate environments, multinationals, specialized consulting firms or top-tier law firms.
    • Experience in managing complex projects and in liaising with executives and governing bodies.
  • Knowledge:
    • Expert knowledge of executive compensation models, short- and long-term incentives and share-based plans.
    • Solid knowledge of personal income taxation, international mobility and regulatory aspects associated with executive compensation.
    • Mastery of data analysis tools and compensation and human resources management systems.
    • Ability to interpret complex information and turn it into business recommendations.
  • Languages: English level C1 or higher.
