What are we looking for?

• Education in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or similar.
• Solid experience in the accounting-tax area, ideally developed in a professional firm, consultancy, or professional services firm.
• Very good command of Spanish accounting and taxation.
• Experience managing a portfolio of companies with autonomy.
• Experience working with international clients or foreign companies with a presence in Spain.
• High professional English, essential for holding meetings, handling inquiries, and communicating regularly with international clients.
• Ability to understand client needs beyond mere compliance with recurring obligations.
• Autonomous, organized, and rigorous profile with good communication skills.

Senior Accountant & Tax Advisor | BCN

We are looking to hire a senior professional with solid experience in accounting and tax advisory for companies, especially international companies and groups with activity or implementation processes in Spain.

We are looking for a profile with a high technical level, capable of autonomously managing a client portfolio and becoming their reference interlocutor in Spain, accompanying them both in the fulfillment of their accounting and tax obligations and in the various needs that may arise from their activity.

What will you do?

You will comprehensively manage a client portfolio, with a special emphasis on foreign companies and international groups, being responsible for:

• Supervision and/or preparation of general corporate accounting: monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, reconciliations, accruals, depreciation, and balance sheet review.
• Preparation and review of annual accounts and official books.
• Preparation, review, and filing of the main recurring tax obligations: VAT, withholdings, installment payments, Corporate Tax, and informative returns.
• Analysis and resolution of accounting and tax inquiries from clients.
• Support for foreign companies starting or developing their activity in Spain, advising them on the accounting and tax implications of their local operations.
• Coordination with finance teams or managers at international parent companies, providing information, reporting, and explanations regarding the activity of the Spanish company.
• Handling of requirements and communications with the Tax Administration.
• Coordination with other areas of the firm when the client requires multidisciplinary advisory.
• Direct and recurring relationship with the client, acting as a trusted interlocutor in accounting and tax matters.
