Job Mission

At Paul Marlex, we are looking for a production manager to be in charge of planning, coordinating, and supervising the execution of electrical substation construction works, ensuring compliance with deadline, cost, quality, safety, and technical project requirements, in accordance with the established planning, contractual documentation, and company procedures.

You will be responsible for the daily management of production on-site, coordinating internal resources and subcontractors and guaranteeing the correct execution of civil, electromechanical, and electrical works.

Main duties

Plan and organize the execution of substation works, in accordance with the general project schedule. Coordinate and supervise production activities on-site, ensuring compliance with established milestones and deadlines. Organize the human resources, materials, equipment, and auxiliary means necessary for the execution of the works. Coordinate civil works, electromechanical assembly, electrical assembly, wiring, protection and control systems, auxiliary services, grounding, and other installations associated with the substation. Directly supervise the works executed by internal personnel and subcontracted companies. Coordinate the daily activity of foremen, skilled tradespeople, assembly teams, and subcontractors. Monitor construction progress and detect possible deviations from the planning. Propose and apply corrective measures to guarantee the fulfillment of production objectives. Coordinate with the Site Manager, Technical Office, Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, Prevention, and other departments involved in the project. Review plans, technical specifications, construction procedures, and documentation necessary for the correct execution of the works. Detect interferences, lack of definition, or incompatibilities between the different disciplines and communicate the resolution needs to the corresponding managers. Supervise the correct reception, storage, and availability of materials and equipment necessary for execution. Control the performance of work teams and subcontracted companies. Perform measurements and monitoring of executed units and collaborate in the certification of the works. Collaborate in the control of production costs, identifying deviations and optimization opportunities. Verify that the works are executed according to quality criteria, project specifications, and established procedures. Coordinate the necessary inspections and controls during the execution of the works. Participate in the planning and monitoring of tests, verifications, energization, and commissioning of the installations, in coordination with the corresponding technical managers. Participate in coordination meetings with the client, project management, engineering, subcontractors, and other project agents. Prepare and/or supervise daily reports, production reports, progress, and monitoring documentation. Guarantee that activities are carried out complying with the company's and the project's Occupational Risk Prevention, Quality, and Environmental procedures. Promote adequate coordination of business activities among the different teams and subcontractors present on-site. Participate in the resolution of technical and organizational incidents arising during execution. Collaborate in the planning of the final phase of the works, finishing, testing, commissioning, and delivery of the installation. Areas of responsibility
