IT Maintenance Technician

Job description

At Paul Marlex, we are looking for an IT Maintenance Technician to ensure the correct functioning of the equipment, systems, and communications for one of our clients across their various work centers.

The selected person will join the IT Department and report directly to the Department Manager. Their main mission will be to provide technical support to users, manage IT equipment and access, and resolve day-to-day incidents, contributing to maintaining an efficient and operational technological infrastructure.

What you'll do

Main duties

· Manage the registration and deregistration of users in the corporate domain, as well as their access.

· Perform maintenance and support tasks related to servers, systems, and connectivity.

· Supervise the correct functioning of connections between the different sites and manage incidents with external providers, such as Vodafone.

· Prepare, configure, and deliver IT equipment to new hires.

· Maintain an updated inventory of IT equipment and control its assignment to employees.

· Manage corporate email accounts, supervising mailbox capacity and helping to resolve incidents related to their operation.

· Check the correct functioning of communication antennas and coordinate their repair with the maintenance company when necessary.

· Provide technical support to users in the use of office tools, especially Excel and Microsoft 365.

· Attend to specific IT maintenance needs at the group's agricultural farms, including label printers, clearing jams, installing network cabling, and other related tasks.

· Collaborate in the improvement of IT systems and procedures, proposing solutions that optimize daily operations.

The company currently uses external providers for certain services, such as antivirus and VPN, although it is considering taking over part of this management internally.

This is a position oriented towards IT maintenance and support, without software development or website creation functions.

How you'll work

The main workplace for this position will be the facilities in El Ejido, with occasional travel to other sites and agricultural farms of the business group if necessary.

Working conditions

· Winter schedule: from 7:30 to 15:30 h.

· Summer schedule: from 7:00 to 15:00 h.

· Availability: phone operational during Saturdays for one month in summer for possible incidents, although intervention is usually not required
