What we're looking for

University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting and Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in external auditing, preferably at an audit firm.
Solid knowledge of accounting and the Spanish General Accounting Plan.
Experience in reviewing and analyzing financial statements.
Good command of Excel and office tools.
Analytical skills, organization, and attention to detail.
Autonomy and the ability to manage different projects and priorities.
Strong communication and client-facing skills.
Ability to work as part of a team and support professionals with less experience.

Nice to have

Previous experience at an audit firm.
Fluent English.

At Marlex we are collaborating with a well-known audit and business advisory firm located in Barcelona, with over 30 years of experience and an international presence, which is looking to bring on an Auditor to strengthen its team.

What you'll do

As part of the Audit team, you will actively and independently take part in the execution of projects for companies across different sectors, working directly with the firm's managers and partners.

Participate in the planning and execution of financial audits.
Analyze and review financial statements, annual accounts, and accounting documentation.
Perform audit procedures and reviews of the different areas of the balance sheet and income statement.
Detect and analyze potential discrepancies, issues, or accounting risks.
Prepare working papers and documentation associated with audit projects.
Maintain direct communication with clients to request, follow up on, and analyze information.
Participate in the preparation of audit conclusions and reports.
Provide support and guidance to junior team members, monitoring and reviewing their work.
Collaborate with managers and partners in monitoring the different projects.
