What we're looking for

Practical experience in industrial environments: preparation and adjustment of machinery, assembly and changeover of molds, dies, punches, or tooling, and resolution of incidents during setup.
Knowledge of industrial machinery and manufacturing processes (hydraulic and mechanical presses will be valued).
Knowledge of die making, assembly, and adjustment of molds or tooling.
Ability to interpret blueprints and technical documentation, and knowledge of metrology and quality control.
Experience in metallurgy, stamping, sheet metal forming, or deep drawing will be valued. Specific experience in deep drawing is not required: we value a good mechanical foundation.
Catalan and Spanish.
Residency close to the area.
Joining as soon as possible.

Education & certifications

Intermediate or higher degree in Mechanics or similar.

The role

Do you have experience in the preparation of industrial machinery and are you motivated by molds and presses? This could be a good opportunity to take a step forward in a consolidated industrial company.

At Marlex, we are looking to hire a Technical Press Setter to reinforce the Production department at the Santa Coloma de Farners plant.

What you'll do

Assembly, disassembly, and changeover of molds in hydraulic and mechanical presses.
Preparation and adjustment of molds and presses according to the technical specifications of each product.
Setup after each mold change: manufacturing and verifying the first pieces and making the necessary adjustments until a conforming control piece is obtained.
Coordination with the Maintenance department to prioritize the maintenance, polishing, and rectification of molds.
Technical support to the production supervisor in resolving incidents and in the training of new operators in the section.
Communication of anomalies detected in molds, tooling, or equipment.
Control of the status, identification, and storage of molds and tooling, maintaining order, cleanliness, and safety in the work area.
