Supplier Quality Engineer

Requirements:

• Technical or university training related to Engineering, Quality, Industry, or similar technical areas.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality control, manufacturing, and/or supplier monitoring and management.
• Experience or knowledge related to Supplier Quality Management, supplier management, or quality.
• Fluent English, both oral and written, to operate in an international environment. A language test will be conducted.
• Availability to travel more than 50% of the time.
• Ability to work with different teams and collaborate in multifunctional environments.
• Analytical capacity and orientation toward problem-solving.
• Communication and negotiation skills to work with suppliers and internal teams.
• Orientation towards continuous improvement and process optimization.
• Interest in digitalization, innovation, and LEAN methodologies applied to quality management.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage different initiatives and priorities.

MARLEX needs to recruit for an important multinational leader in innovation and technology in industrial automation and digitalization, a Supplier Quality Engineer to join its Supplier Quality Management (SQM) area.

Mission:

Ensure and improve the quality of products and services supplied within the assigned business area, implementing Supplier Quality Management (SQM) requirements related to specifications, selection, and qualification of suppliers, products, and services, in accordance with the defined materials and supplier strategy.

Act as the Supplier Quality point of reference within multifunctional teams and as the interlocutor with suppliers.

Responsibilities:

• Implement the agreed category and Supplier Quality Management (SQM) strategy, including aspects related to value, digitalization, and collaboration.
• Drive supplier performance and continuous improvement, collaborating in supplier development programs.
• Create and negotiate general quality and quality assurance agreements, as well as perform the corresponding follow-up.
• Apply preventive quality methods oriented toward minimizing risks.
• Design, maintain, and improve specific quality requirements, specifications, and concepts based on the risk assessment of the supplier and the product or service.
• Provide support to the standardized supplier qualification process, following corporate guidelines.
• Coordinate the qualification and approval of products and services in accordance with the defined requirements and specifications.
• Actively participate in projects related to the definition and review of specifications and requirements.
• Manage supplier claims to detect and analyze non-conformities, verify root cause analyses, and communicate the results to the supplier.
• Provide support in sustainable problem resolution.
• Plan and perform supplier audits, including the follow-up of resulting actions.
• Drive the continuous improvement of internal SQM processes through innovation, digitalization, and LEAN methodologies.
• Foster an effective relationship and collaboration with suppliers, also through virtual tools and formats.

• 1-year temporary contract, initially planned from January to December 2027.
• More than 50% of working time implies availability to travel.
• Location: Tres Cantos (Madrid).
