Store Transport and Load Optimization Specialist

We are looking to incorporate a Store Transport and Load Optimization Specialist into our B2S operations team. The person will be responsible, end-to-end, for transport to our store network—more than 100 and growing rapidly—ensuring that trucks always depart full and well-optimized, while controlling transport costs and invoicing and continuously reducing them.

Additionally, they will act as a link between the different sections of the department (planning, cross-docking, picking, and dispatch), consolidating and providing coherence to the volumes of the entire operation. They will manage a volume exceeding 9,000 transports per year and will participate in the development and deployment of a proprietary transport management and optimization tool, currently under construction.

Main responsibilities

• Comprehensive execution of store transport: daily coordination with carriers, load planning, and dispatch.
• Control of delivery window compliance and incident management: delays, damages, and store rejections.
• Control and reduction of transport costs per store, route, and order against rates and budget.
• Monitoring and validation of carrier invoicing: detection, claim, and recovery of deviations.
• Load optimization: monitoring occupancy (fill rate) and consolidation rules to ensure trucks are full and well-optimized.
• Optimization of routes and frequencies across a growing store network.
• Monitoring of the operational volume to stores to anticipate transport needs and demand peaks.
• Liaison point between the sections of the department, consolidating the volumes of each area to provide coherence to the overall operation.
• Backup for key team positions during vacations and absences.
• Participation in the development and deployment of the proprietary transport management and optimization tool.

Requirements

• Experience in transport and logistics, preferably in store distribution.
• Knowledge of order picking and warehousing.
• Analytical profile: advanced Excel; proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Power BI) is valued.
• Experience in cost control and transport invoice validation.
• Knowledge of logistics management systems: WMS / TMS / ERP.
• Versatility and ability for cross-functional coordination between teams.
