Store Manager / Assistant Store Manager

• Minimum of 2 years of experience leading teams in retail, preferably in fashion, footwear, or related sectors.

• Commercial profile, with a clear orientation toward customers and sales objectives.

• Experience in monitoring commercial KPIs for decision-making.

• Knowledge of visual merchandising and point of sale management.

• Approachable leadership and the ability to motivate, support, and develop people.

• Initiative, autonomy and the ability to anticipate and resolve incidents.

• Good organization, planning, and priority management in environments with activity peaks.

• Positive, proactive, and collaborative attitude.

• Availability to work in weeks of rotating shifts and weeks of split shifts.

• Mobility between stores in the Bilbao area

🎯 The position

You will be part of the store management team, assuming a key role in the organization of the point of sale, team coordination, customer experience, and the achievement of commercial objectives.

Depending on your position and experience, you will be able to lead the store or provide direct support in its daily management, always with the support of the Area Manager and Merkal's support teams.

• Lead, organize, and develop the team: selection, onboarding, sales training, and performance monitoring.

• Drive results through the analysis and monitoring of KPIs (conversion, average ticket, UPT, shrinkage).

• Guarantee operational excellence: openings/closings, cash handling (reconciliations and closings), replenishment, order, and cleanliness.

• Ensure the correct application of Merkal's customer service policy.

• Supervise the implementation of visual merchandising aligned with brand criteria.

• Ensure compliance with administrative procedures and point of sale management.

• Detect opportunities for improvement and propose actions to boost store performance.

We are looking for a Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager for our store located in the Zubiarte Shopping Center in Bilbao (Vizcaya), at 36 hours per week, with weeks of rotating shifts and weeks of split shifts.
