The role

Important company in the entertainment sector is looking for a Consolidation & Reporting Specialist, located in Madrid. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 9 years of professional experience in finance, with experience in Accounting Consolidation for an end client being essential. Previous experience in Big4 is highly valued. A high level of English and Excel is essential. Work format: Hybrid (teleworking is possible 1 day a week).

What you'll do

Reporting to the Consolidation & Reporting Manager, the selected candidate will be responsible for the following functions;

Lead the group's financial consolidation process, ensuring the correct integration of financial information from the various entities.
Coordinate and execute the group's monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closes.
Perform and supervise intercompany eliminations and reconciliations between the different companies within the consolidation perimeter.
Prepare the consolidated financial statements under applicable local regulations.
Prepare the consolidated financial reporting for the Finance Department.
Analyze variations in the balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and cash flow, identifying relevant deviations and trends.
Coordinate the obtaining, reviewing, and validation of financial information from the various subsidiaries.
Participate in the definition, improvement, and homogenization of the group's accounting policies and financial procedures.
Lead optimization and automation projects for consolidation and reporting processes.
Collaborate closely with the Accounting, Management Control, Treasury, and Audit teams.
Act as the main interlocutor with external auditors during the consolidated accounts audit processes.
Ensure compliance with the closing and reporting calendars established by the group.
Participate in corporate operations, acquisitions, mergers, and changes in the consolidation perimeter when necessary.
Provide technical support for inquiries related to consolidation, accounting regulations, and complex operations.
