About the role

Financial Operations & Automation Coordinator Consultant

As a Financial Operations & Automation Coordinator, you will be part of the financial team of Asset Services (a multidisciplinary team that manages shopping centers, offices, logistics warehouses, and other real estate assets for national and international clients, including major investment funds), reporting directly to the Head of Financial Services & Corporate. Your main mission will be to optimize processes and tools to achieve greater automation, operational efficiency, and reporting quality for the financial and asset management area, with a focus on Yardi reporting and financial forecasting for clients.

What you'll do

  • Analyze business requirements regarding the automation of financial reports and forecasting

  • Design new financial reports and automate existing ones, reducing manual workload and improving consistency

  • Review and test new reports, forecasting models, and new features of financial management systems

  • Work with data extracted from Yardi (trial balance, invoicing, CAPEX, provisions, etc.) to ensure structured, reliable, and as automated as possible reporting

  • Collaborate with the European team on the development of new reporting tools, interfaces, and/or reports (conveying the requirements of the Spanish business and different client types, conducting and/or coordinating testing, overseeing and/or supervising changes in data input, etc.)

  • Implement new reports, forecasting models, and new features (training teams, reviews, and support in the use of tools)

  • Collaborate with the Data Analytics area, acting as a business stakeholder, defining financial and asset management requirements, and testing new solutions

  • Identify opportunities to optimize processes in the financial and asset management area, proposing and implementing improvements related to automation and efficiency

  • Collaborate on internal audits and certification processes

  • Support new processes, workflows, and tools that ensure compliance with internal and external standards

What we're looking for

  • Expert knowledge of Excel and Visual Basic / Macros

  • Accustomed to working with financial management systems (Yardi, SAP, or similar) and reporting and forecasting tools, understanding their operation beyond a basic user level

  • Advanced English level (minimum C1), both spoken and written

  • Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field

  • At least 3–4 years of experience in positions related to financial reporting (e.g., Financial Controller, Financial Analyst, Auditor), with an interest in report automation, tool development, and process optimization

  • Accustomed to working with financial reporting, with practical knowledge of IFRS, Spanish GAAP, and US GAAP valued

  • Understanding of the needs of different users and audiences of reporting and forecasting (internal and client-facing)

  • Proactive and autonomous individual

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Innovative individual, interested in the continuous improvement of technology and tools in service of the business

  • Communication and interpersonal skills at different levels
