The role

Industrial company, located in the Western Vallès, needs to hire a Tooling Designer/Drafter for Injection Molding. The position combines 3D design, continuous improvement of molds, and direct contact with production and suppliers, in a technical and dynamic environment.

What you'll do

Design all components of new injection molds in 3D.
Redesign existing models (2D to 3D), correcting measurements, applying improvements, and adapting numbering to standards.
Review molds before injection:
Assess the condition of components (maintain, repair, or replace).
Detect anomalies and coordinate actions with the tooling team.
Correct drawings as needed.
Generate work orders for mold repairs.
Define raw material needs for mold construction.
Conduct feasibility studies: new design vs. reuse of existing components.
Provide on-demand support to production for tooling and fixture design.
Manage supplier relationships: requesting quotes, negotiating budgets and deadlines.
Ensure consistency between drawings and the physical part, making adjustments as necessary.

Who are we looking for (M/F/D)?

Technical degree in drafting, industrial design, mechanical engineering, or similar.
Experience in using measuring tools (caliper, micrometer, comparators, etc.) and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, being able to identify and verify on the physical part all the measurements, dimensions, and specifications reflected in the drawing.
Required skills:
- AutoCAD 2D
- AutoCAD 3D
- TopSolid Design
Profile with a mechanical aptitude and knowledge of machinery.
Proactive person with technical analysis skills and a focus on continuous improvement.
Ability to work in direct contact with production and factory environments (not just an office setting).
Communication skills to interact with suppliers and internal teams.
