We are looking for a Process/Production Engineer to optimize and stabilize the rail production process across the entire value chain, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, productivity, cost, and schedule objectives.
Analyze the behavior of the production process from steelmaking, rolling, finishing, inspection, and shipping, identifying constraints and critical points.
Define and monitor key process indicators: productivity, yield, rejects, rework, cycle times, bottlenecks, intermediate stock, and plan compliance.
Detect recurring deviations and propose corrective actions aimed at improving process stability.
Ensure an end-to-end view of the production flow, avoiding local optimizations that harm the overall result.
Lead or participate in root cause analysis for process, quality, productivity, or safety incidents.
Apply structured problem-solving methodologies such as RCA, A3, FMEA, 5 Whys, or similar.
Propose and implement process improvements aimed at reducing variability, eliminating losses, improving yield, and increasing availability.
Coordinate industrial trials, new process parameters, and standardization actions.
Identify production bottlenecks and propose alternatives for planning, sequencing, or parameter adjustment.
Provide technical support for decision-making in situations of saturation, blocked material, capacity constraints, or deviations from the plan.
Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Logistics, and Supply Chain to ensure a stable material flow consistent with business priorities.
Evaluate the industrial impact of process decisions on cost, schedule, quality, and customer service.
Define, update, and maintain process standards, operating instructions, and control criteria.
Participate in the digitalization of indicators, alarms, and process monitoring tools.
Develop structured reporting to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
Collaborate on improving the industrial IT architecture and the integration of process, quality, maintenance, and logistics data.
Act as a technical liaison between Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Logistics, Supply Chain, Commercial, and Finance.
Coordinate cross-functional actions to resolve process issues affecting productivity, quality, cost, or schedule.
Provide technical support to the Project Leader and the rest of the task force team.
Ensure that operational decisions take into account process, capacity, quality, and logistics constraints.
