From Michael Page, we are selecting a Waste Management Manager for a major company in the rapidly growing energy sector.

As the Waste Management and Logistics Manager, you will play a key role in the integrated waste management of a portfolio of biomethane and composting plants, ensuring operational and economic efficiency of the supply chain.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Designing and optimizing waste collection and transport routes, coordinating inter-plant flows based on capacities, types, and costs.
• Reducing logistics costs (transport, storage, and time) and implementing KPIs and monitoring systems.
• Negotiating and managing relationships with transporters and logistics operators.
• Analyzing and defining waste procurement pricing strategies, negotiating with major producers and intermediate managers.
• Monitoring margins per plant and per waste type, adjusting prices according to market, capacity, and demand.
• Identifying new waste streams and business opportunities related to the circular economy and valorization.
• Coordinating cross-functionally with plant, technical, financial, and legal teams.
• Supporting investment decisions related to new plants, expansions, or operational improvements.

You will join a company specialized in the development, construction, and operation of biomethane plants, with active projects in Spain and Portugal.
The position is based in Murcia (where the first projects and part of the team are located), with regular collaboration with other teams across the peninsula and frequent travel to plants and partners.

• 7-10 years of experience in sectors such as biomethane/biogas, waste management, energy, industrial logistics, or agriculture.
• Real experience in waste logistics (not product logistics): managing large volumes, routes, and transport costs.
• Experience negotiating waste contracts and working with producers, managers, or major industrial accounts.
• Knowledge of the national waste market and its pricing structure.
• High autonomy, analytical mindset, and results and margin orientation.
• Ability to work cross-functionally, without a direct team initially.
• Willingness to travel frequently.
• Engineering degree (Industrial, Environmental, Civil, or Chemical) or Business Administration/Economics with a strong technical component.
• Master's degree in Waste Management, Circular Economy, Logistics/Supply Chain, or Operations Management (valuable).
• Advanced English level is highly valued.

Como Responsable de Gestión y Logística de Residuos, tendrás un papel clave en la gestión integral de residuos de un conjunto de plantas de biometano y compost, asegurando la eficiencia operativa y económica del suministro.

Tus principales responsabilidades serán:

• Diseñar y optimizar las rutas de recogida y transporte de residuos, coordinando flujos interplanta según capacidades, tipologías y costes.
• Reducir costes logísticos (transporte, tiempos y almacenaje) e implantar KPIs y sistemas de seguimiento.
• Negociar y gestionar la relación con transportistas y operadores logísticos.
• Analizar y definir estrategias de precios de adquisición de residuos, negociando con grandes productores y gestores intermedios.
• Realizar el seguimiento de márgenes por planta y por tipología de residuo, ajustando precios según mercado, capacidad y demanda.
• Identificar nuevas corrientes de residuos y oportunidades de negocio vinculadas a la economía circular y la valorización.
• Coordinarte de forma transversal con los equipos de planta, técnicos, biológicos, financieros y legales.
• Dar soporte a decisiones de inversión relacionadas con nuevas plantas, ampliaciones o mejoras operativas.

Te incorporarás a una compañía especializada en el desarrollo, construcción y operación de plantas de biometano, con proyectos activos en España y Portugal.
El puesto tiene base en Murcia (donde se concentran los primeros proyectos y parte del equipo), con colaboración habitual con otros equipos a nivel peninsular y viajes frecuentes a plantas y partners.

• Experiencia de 7-10 años en sectores como biometano/biogás, gestión de residuos, energía, logística industrial o agraria.
• Experiencia real en logística de residuos (no de producto): gestión de grandes tonelajes, rutas, costes de transporte.
• Haber negociado contratos de residuos y trabajado con productores, gestores o grandes cuentas industriales.
• Conocimiento del mercado nacional de residuos y su estructura de precios.
• Alta autonomía, mentalidad analítica y orientación a resultados y márgenes.
• Capacidad para trabajar de forma transversal, sin equipo directo inicialmente.
• Disponibilidad para viajar con frecuencia.
• Ingeniería (Industrial, Ambiental, Química, Caminos) o ADE/Economía con fuerte componente técnico.
• Máster en Gestión de Residuos, Economía Circular, Logística/Supply Chain o Dirección de Operaciones (valorable).
• Muy valorable nivel avanzando de inglés.
