Technical Event Operations Manager (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria)

We are looking to hire an Operations and Facilities Project Manager for Events, responsible for ensuring the correct technical and operational execution of the events held at the venue.

Job MissionCoordinating the planning, preparation, and execution of events from an operational perspective, ensuring the correct functioning of the facilities, compliance with safety and prevention standards, the coordination of suppliers, and the satisfaction of clients and organizers.

Main functions

• Plan and coordinate the operations of congresses, conventions, fairs, exhibitions, and corporate events.
• Supervise assembly and disassembly processes, guaranteeing compliance with deadlines and quality standards.
• Coordinate partner companies and external providers of technical, audiovisual, security, cleaning, logistics, and catering services.
• Ensure the availability and correct functioning of the venue's technical facilities.
• Manage and supervise HVAC, electricity, telecommunications, fire protection, and event-related equipment systems.
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations and the coordination of business activities.
• Manage operational incidents during the preparation and celebration of events.
• Coordinate access, loading, and unloading of materials, exhibitors, and technical equipment.
• Act as an interlocutor with organizers, clients, and providers during all phases of the event.
• Collaborate in the continuous improvement of operational processes and facilities.

• Previous experience managing operations, facilities, or technical production
• Solid knowledge of technical facilities and OSH regulations

Required profile

• University technical degree: Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Technical Architecture, or similar.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in positions linked to operations, facilities, facility management, or event production.
• Experience in the coordination of contractors and multiple providers.
• Knowledge of technical facilities (electricity, HVAC, telecommunications, fire protection, and audiovisuals).
• Knowledge of OSH regulations and the coordination of business activities.
• High level of English.
• Availability to adapt to the specific operations of the events sector.

• Experience in convention centers, fairgrounds, auditoriums, stadiums, hotels with MICE activity, or large public-access infrastructures.
• Experience in managing high-attendance events.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
• Customer orientation and the ability to communicate with international profiles.
