Requirements

What we're looking for

- Higher vocational training in Laboratory Operator and Quality Control or an equivalent degree in the chemical sector.

- Minimum of two years of experience in similar roles.

- Knowledge of the logic of laboratory equipment and the results obtained for each test (types of tests to be performed, technical values, ranges, and tolerance intervals).

The role

From IMAN Global Consulting, a consultancy for the selection of technical and specialized profiles. We are looking for a Quality Control Laboratory Technician, for a company located in Montornès del Vallès.

What you'll do

- Performing in-line quality control of semi-finished and finished products in accordance with the established control plan and procedures.

- Providing support to the production department in the manufacturing of finished and in-process products according to the quality and specifications agreed upon with the client.

- Actively participating in the resolution of incidents arising during production.

- Promoting the proper functioning and continuous improvement of the laboratory.

- Performing quality controls of finished or semi-finished products in accordance with the established control guidelines and procedures.

- Performing sampling during manufacturing and analyzing them according to guidelines and procedures.

- Deciding on the validity of the results obtained and communicating them to the involved departments to continue product manufacturing or to adjust manufacturing parameters so that in-line quality control data are correct.

- Collaborating closely with the production department in the correction of deviations.

- Quality control document management: Documentation and filing of the analyses performed. Recording of parameters in the computer system.

- Use of laboratory equipment to perform controls: performing physical tests on samples. Tests in laboratory mixers and extruders, preparing plates for tests, using presses and heated rollers, or odor tests.

- Maintaining the laboratory and work equipment in perfect condition, clean and orderly. Classification of generated waste.

- Participating in continuous improvement actions, and showing commitment to compliance with Quality, Health and Safety, Hygiene, and Environmental standards.

How you'll work

- Working hours: Rotating shifts: morning, afternoon, and night (M-A-N)/ Rotation: every 15 days.
