The role
We are looking for a DevOps and QA Automation Expert to be part of our Nestlé Nespresso Digital and Tech Team. At Nespresso, our Digital & Tech teams are at the heart of our innovation journey, a space where we continue to invest, evolve, and grow.
What you'll do
The Role:
As a DevOps and QA Automation Expert, you will provide Quality Engineering technical direction within the DevSecOps operating model, ensuring Quality Engineering practices, automated validation, quality controls, traceability, quality gates and quality feedback mechanisms are effectively integrated into DevSecOps processes, CI/CD platforms and delivery pipelines.
You will provide Quality Engineering expertise and practical guidance to support pipeline architecture decisions, Git-based development workflows, branching strategies, pull-request controls and reusable automation capabilities that improve software quality, release confidence and engineering effectiveness.
You will also drive the adoption of appropriate QA and Testing practices for composable and distributed architectures, including contract-driven validation, shift-left testing, automation-first principles and risk-based validation across UI, API, integration, event, data and service layers.
Working closely with the Automation Engineering Architect, Automation SDETs, the QE Governance & Enablement team, DevOps and Platform teams and Product Development teams, you will help translate Quality Engineering requirements into scalable and sustainable pipeline capabilities.
This is a strategic technical enablement and integration role. It does not own product delivery, DevOps platform operations, release management, test execution or final product-quality approval.
In This Role, You Will:
-
Support the integration of Quality Engineering requirements, automated testing, traceability and quality controls into CI/CD pipeline architectures.
-
Collaborate with DevOps and Product Development teams on pipeline architecture decisions affecting automated validation, quality gates, test execution and quality feedback.
-
Provide Quality Engineering expertise for Git-based development workflows, branching strategies, pull-request controls and continuous integration practices.
-
Drive the adoption of contract testing and appropriate validation approaches for composable, microservices-based, API-led, event-driven and distributed architectures.
-
Contribute establishing validation approaches for APIs, events, integrations, data flows and independently deployable services.
-
Support the development and adoption of reusable pipeline components, automation integrations, templates, quality controls and engineering assets.
-
Enable Product and Development teams to adopt automation-first, shift-left and risk-based validation practices with reduced dependency on central support.
-
Evaluate and promote emerging DevSecOps, automation, observability and responsible AI-assisted engineering capabilities.
How you'll work
-
Location: Esplugues de Llobregat, Barcelona, Spain
-
Type of Contract: Permanent
-
Type of work: Hybrid
-

Extra Skills That Set You Apart
-
Experience with policy-as-code, automated governance controls or self-service CI/CD platform capabilities.
-
Knowledge of observability and operational quality signals, including logs, metrics, traces, telemetry and automated failure analysis.
-
Experience applying responsible AI-assisted engineering to pipeline analysis, automation development, test selection, documentation or failure investigation.
