Test Engineer

• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years.

• Education: Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Industrial Electronics and Automation, or similar.

• Basic knowledge of tools and programs

  • Python; scripting; test automation; results analysis and log generation.

  • C# (.NET) for SCADA applications and supervision/control tools.

  • IEC 61131-3 programming and basic knowledge of PLCs.

  • Industrial communications; IEC 60870-5-104 and IEC 61850.

  • Git; continuous integration; reproducible environments; Docker applied to SIL (Linux embedded Systems).

  • Simulation, HIL/SIL, and Digital Twin concepts.

  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving.

• English: Upper-intermediate level.

At Ormazabal Protection & Automation S.L.U., one of the divisions of Ormazabal, we offer an excellent professional opportunity as a Test Engineer, both due to the content and functions of the position, and due to the image and reputation of this Ormazabal division within its sector of activity. The division has established itself as a key unit within the Ormazabal structure, oriented towards the development of solutions for smart grids.

The position will be developed at the Ormazabal Digital Hub (ODH), an emblem of Ormazabal that will be located in building 614 of the Zamudio Technology Park. This modern Ormazabal headquarters has been designed to house the most innovative teams and cutting-edge technologies, offering a unique working environment that combines state-of-the-art facilities with a strategic location in the heart of a leading business ecosystem.

Your work will be essential for the development, maintenance, and evolution of automated testing tools and environments to validate embedded and communication systems.

• You will develop test tools: scripts, applications, automation, and validation utilities.

• You will design, maintain, and evolve automated test environments, including HW/SW integration.

• You will automate validation processes to reduce time and errors.

• You will execute and automate functional, integration, and regression tests.

• You will analyze results, generate evidence, reports, logs, and test traceability.

• You will collaborate with development and validation teams to detect faults, anomalies, and improvements.

Additionally, in a complementary manner:

• You will continuously improve test processes, automation, and validation efficiency.

• You will provide support in continuous integration, test configuration management, and the maintenance of reproducible environments.

• You will provide support in external validations and complex incidents, and define future test architectures.
