Mission

As an Industrial Development Engineer, your main mission within the department will be to develop a capacity system to size the people and machines needed for the future. Define the type of machinery required and plan its purchase. Define the necessary layout to carry out production, keeping in mind all Lean Manufacturing tools, machinery integration, delivery planning, and coordinating with different departments such as civil engineering to ensure everything is planned for the arrival of new equipment. All of this with the goal of ensuring the MIURA 5 program meets its economic and delivery requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize manufacturing capacity generation processes.
  • Define a structured workshop layout for subsequent implementation.
  • Generate an economic study to justify the changes to be implemented in the workshop.
  • Develop a system for approving investments related to manufacturing assets.
  • Integrate all necessary departments for the definition, purchase, and implementation of machinery.
  • Develop visual workshop management.
  • Define the floor space needed to accommodate machinery, tooling, WIP, shelving, workbenches... everything necessary for production.
  • Develop CAD layouts for approval.
  • Define improvement targets for production times and lead time associated with changes in process, layout, tool selection, etc.
  • Define and prepare asset purchase decision committees together with the purchasing department.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent competencies.
  • +2 years of proven experience in manufacturing environments where industrial organization is a requirement.
  • Proven experience in planning the purchase of assets for production.
  • Experience with CAD, 3D models, and 2D drawings.
  • Experience with ERP and MRP systems.
  • Ability to learn, guide, and collaborate in training the rest of the team, maintaining a high level of performance.
  • Experience working in a workshop environment.
  • Ability to rationalize and break down problems.
  • Full command of MS Office tools.
  • High level of technical English, both spoken and written.
