Mission

As a Quality Inspector – Avionics, your main mission within the area will be to ensure the conformity of electronic hardware, electronic assemblies, aerospace wiring, and avionics systems through inspection, verification, and acceptance activities at all stages of the manufacturing and integration cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections of:
  • PCB: inspection of bare boards, dimensional verification, finishes, traceability, and certificates.
  • PCBA: visual inspection, soldering, polarities, SMT/THT, rework, and IPC acceptance.
  • Aerospace harness: inspection of crimping, soldering, connectors, marking, bend radii, and FOD.
  • Avionics assemblies (electronic units, electronic boxes, flight units, and modules): configuration verification, installed hardware, torque, marking and labeling, mechanical integrity, and ESD control.
  • Integration into subsystems/systems: inspection of mechanical and electrical interfaces, installed configuration, harness routing, and acceptance for testing/flight.
  • Develop inspection and receiving programs/plans for PCBs, PCBAs, aerospace harnesses, and avionics assemblies.
  • Develop checklists for the inspection and verification of harnesses and avionics assemblies integrated into higher-level assemblies (sections, stages, vehicle).
  • Prepare Inspection Reports.
  • Report deviations, anomalies, and non-conformances detected, supporting the NRB when necessary, performing additional checks and/or verifying rework/repairs.
  • Implement corrective actions related to the avionics inspection process as defined by the NRB.
  • Ensure and maintain inspection tools and equipment.
  • Monitor internal calibration plans and equipment qualification. 
  • Participate in internal and external audits.
  • Ensure the conformity and traceability of the products under control.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality, manufacturing, and engineering processes.

Required qualifications

  • Higher Vocational Training (or equivalent) in:
  • Maintenance of Electronic and Avionics Systems for Aircraft.
  • Industrial Electronics.
  • Aeronautical Electromechanics.
  • Experience:
  • Junior: 1-3 years in avionics manufacturing for the aerospace or defense sector.
  • Senior: More than 5 years in manufacturing, inspection, and/or integration of avionics in the aerospace or defense sector.
  • Interpretation of technical production documentation for avionics (electrical drawings, electronic schematics, BOM, Gerbers, pin-out diagrams, procedures, etc.).
  • Experience with instruments and equipment:
  • Multimeters
  • Megohmmeters
  • Oscilloscopes
  • Continuity testers
  • Magnifiers or microscopes
  • Knowledge of standards:
  • IPC-A-610
  • J-STD-001
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620
  • ECSS:
