What you'll do
At Power Electronics, we are looking to hire a Health & Safety Technician Intern; you will be part of a growing global team, composed of 56 Health & Safety professionals committed to excellence and innovation. With a presence in Spain (28 people), the United States (16), and other international locations, we work in a dynamic, collaborative environment with constant communication (daily or weekly) among all team members. Additionally, we have H&S consultants who collaborate closely with our team to ensure the highest safety standards in all Power Electronics operations.
You will report directly to the Health & Safety Manager, collaborating closely to anticipate and prevent occupational risks, drive a strong preventive culture, and guarantee a safe working environment in all phases of operation and construction, in accordance with current regulations and corporate standards. Furthermore, you will actively participate in staff training and awareness, promoting best practices and commitment to safety.
- Guarantee regulatory compliance through the application of RD 1215/1997 (PPE), RD 486/1997 (safety conditions), RD 485/1997 (signage), and RD 614/2001 (work involving electrical risk)
- Accident investigation: root cause analysis and preparation of reports for the INSST
- Comprehensive management of internal and external audits: preparation of ISO 45001 documentation, follow-up on non-conformities, and execution of action plans
- Preparation and management of critical documentation: LOTO procedures, work permits, and electrical safety protocols, as well as administration of PAUs in accordance with RD 393/2007 and RD 524/2023
- Design and validation of electrical test benches, in coordination with R&D to ensure safety in prototypes and trials.
- Support in the coordination and planning of the H&S Electrical team.
