The role
What you'll do
Participate in the design and development of innovative mechanical engineering solutions for industrial automation projects, contributing both to the creation of new facilities and to the improvement of existing systems. Likewise, you will design tooling and test benches to optimize production processes, increasing the efficiency, productivity, and quality of industrial operations. Functions you will perform:
- Participate in the study and analysis of the specifications for new automated projects from a mechanical standpoint.
- Collaborate in the development of the mechanical design of automation projects, considering the sequence of operations, machinery integration, and material flow.
- Participate in the design and development of innovative mechanical engineering solutions for new automation projects and implement improvements in existing facilities and equipment.
- Design and develop tooling, auxiliary equipment, and test benches oriented toward optimizing production processes, improving operational efficiency, and guaranteeing product quality.
- Collaborate in the selection and specification of machinery, mechanical components, and industrial systems, ensuring the compatibility, reliability, and performance of the designed solutions.
- Prepare the mechanical technical documentation of the project: manufacturing and assembly drawings, bills of materials, technical specifications, operation and maintenance manuals, among others.
- Support the commissioning of assigned projects, participating in the validation and optimization of the designed mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with the Processes, Production, Maintenance, and Quality departments to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions that reduce cycle times and improve productivity.
- Resolve incidents and non-conformities related to suppliers, proposing technical solutions that facilitate the correct development of manufacturing and assembly.
- Perform or collaborate on mechanical simulations and structural calculations to guarantee the strength, safety, and integrity of the designed equipment.
- Participate actively in continuous improvement, standardization, and design optimization initiatives to increase the robustness and scalability of the developed solutions.
