To help fuel that growth, we need a Software Engineer to join our Engineering team.

This team is the beating heart of Prima.

You'll be joining over 350 engineers across software development, infrastructure, operations and security. Fueled by curiosity, experimentation and collaboration, you'll help deliver scalable, impactful solutions that shape the future of insurance.

As a Software Engineer working on our AI/ML Platform, you'll help build the shared services, APIs and developer tools that enable engineers and data scientists across Prima to experiment, build and operate AI and Machine Learning solutions quickly and reliably.

AI and Machine Learning are core to how Prima builds products, makes decisions and operates at scale. You'll work on foundational capabilities used across the company, helping teams move faster and reducing the complexity of building with AI and ML.

What you'll do

Build and evolve our shared AI/ML platform.
Design and own core services, APIs and developer tools that support AI and ML across their lifecycle.
Solve engineering challenges around scalability, reliability, observability and developer experience.
Understand user needs and turn complex problems into simple, reusable platform capabilities.
Work closely with engineers and data scientists, taking ownership from technical design through implementation and operation.

Requirements

What we're looking for

Software engineering experience with Python.
Solid foundations in software design and architecture.
Experience designing, building and operating reliable software systems.
Strong engineering practices around testing, maintainability and code quality.
Ability to tackle complex technical problems, make pragmatic design decisions and take ownership of the solutions you build.
Stay curious about how AI is changing software engineering and use AI tools pragmatically to work better.

Nice to have

Experience building platforms, developer tooling, or production AI systems.
Hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies.
Familiarity with ML infrastructure and orchestration tools.
Experience with GenAI/LLM infrastructure, such as model APIs, gateways, evaluation systems, observability or cost monitoring.

You don't need to be an ML or AI researcher. We're looking for strong software engineers who are excited about building the technology that enables AI and ML across the full lifecycle - from experimentation and development to deployment, operation and continuous improvement.

We're open to mid-level and senior engineers, with scope and ownership adapted to experience.
