1. Provide healthcare to all patients attending the hospital's internal medicine service, using the available resources, and collaborating with the rest of the hospital services.
2. Decide on patient admission to the hospital when their clinical condition so advises, in accordance with the procedure established at each center.
3. Discharge the patient from the internal medicine service once treated and with the corresponding clinical report.
4. Inform the patient and/or, where applicable, their family members about their clinical process, complementary tests, planned treatments, and any other aspects affecting the course of the process.
5. Decide and organize, under optimal conditions, the transfer of patients who require it, from the emergency service to other hospitals with a broader range of services, or when the care circumstances so advise.
6. Prepare the reports required by current legal regulations, in the cases where applicable.
7. Supervise the development of the care and training process of the staff under their charge.
8. Properly manage the assigned resources in pursuit of greater effectiveness and efficiency.
9. Participate in the development and maintenance of the center's information systems and those related to their activity.
10. Participate in research programs, the training plan, and quality improvement activities specific to their specialty.
11. Cooperation and coordination with the rest of the emergency healthcare devices.

• Degree/License in Medicine with specialization in Internal Medicine.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a specialist.
• Active professional registration and compliance with the legal requirements for practice.
