The role

Do you have experience in industrial automation, PLC programming, and SCADA/WCS systems within the logistics or intralogistics sector? We are looking for an Automation and Control Engineer to join an important project for the design, commissioning, and optimization of highly automated logistics centers (stacker cranes, conveyors, sorting systems, and robotics).

What you'll do

Reporting directly to the Head of the Automation and Control Department, you will be responsible for:

Programming and configuration: programming and commissioning of PLCs (mainly Siemens S7-1500 / TIA Portal, Beckhoff, or Rockwell) and drives (frequency inverters, servo systems).

Systems integration: Connection and communication testing between the field level (fieldbuses such as PROFINET, EtherCAT), SCADA/HMI systems, and warehouse management systems (WCS / WMS).

Commissioning: Functional testing, trajectory adjustment, synchronization of stacker cranes, sorters, and conveyor lines, both in the workshop and at the final customer site.

Troubleshooting: Analysis of complex control faults and advanced technical support remotely or on-site during the commissioning phase.

Technical documentation: Preparation of operation manuals, control architecture diagrams, and testing protocols (FAT / SAT).

Requirements

Education: Technical Engineering / Degree in Electronic, Automation, Industrial, or Mechatronics Engineering. Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years in similar roles within the intralogistics sector, automated warehouses, or complex industrial machinery. Technical knowledge: Proficiency in Siemens programming environments (TIA Portal, WinCC) or similar. Knowledge of industrial communication buses (Profinet, Ethernet/IP, Modbus).
