University degree in Food Science and Technology, Chemistry, Agricultural Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Demonstrable experience of 3 to 5 years in formulation and product development within the frozen food industry.

Fluent English level (minimum high B2 / C1) for regular technical management with international interlocutors.

The role

Do you have experience in formulation and product development within the frozen food industry or dairy/cold matrices and are you looking to take a technical leap in your career? At Randstad Professionals, we are looking for profiles with a solid foundation in product innovation. We are selecting a Senior R&D Product Technologist to join a solid, industry-leading project in the province of Alicante.

What you'll do

Reporting to the R&D Management and acting as the technical reference for the area, your main functions will be:

To autonomously design and optimize formulations across different portfolio lines and formats, performing the technical and economic balance of recipes.
- To lead formulation optimization projects applying Design to Cost (DtC) methodologies.
Practical management and handling of the Pilot Plant.
To accompany the scaling of formulations from laboratory to industrial production level, resolving process deviations and incidents alongside Plant and Production.
Technical evaluation, approval, and continuous contact with international suppliers of ingredients and raw materials.
Rigorous preparation of technical specifications and product documentation, supporting and conveying technical criteria to junior profiles on the team.
