The role

We are looking for a Surface Finishing Operator to join an important industrial painting team focused on the automotive sector in Olesa de Montserrat.

The selected person will be responsible for preparing and treating parts before and after the painting processes, guaranteeing the quality standards required by the automotive industry.

What you'll do

Surface preparation and treatment: Cleaning, degreasing, and conditioning of metal and plastic parts prior to the painting line.

Technical filling: Homogeneous application, profiling, and leveling of fillers to correct pores, unevenness, or imperfections in automotive parts.

Precision sanding: Manual and mechanized sanding (use of orbital and random orbital sanders) both wet and dry, applying different grits according to the finishing phase.

Polishing and buffing: Removal of dust, runs, orange peel, or scratches following painting using rotary polishers and abrasive compounds.

Requirements

Previous experience in similar roles (bodywork, panel beating and painting, or industrial painting on metal/plastics).

Fluent handling of sanding tools (pneumatic/electric sanders) and polishers.

Attention to detail and manual dexterity for fine finishing work.

Availability to work the morning shift and flexibility to work rotating shifts (morning/afternoon) according to production needs.

Residence in Olesa de Montserrat, Baix Llobregat region, or availability of a personal vehicle to commute to the workplace.
