The role

Do you have experience in the integral maintenance of facilities and are you looking for a stable project in a prestigious academic institution? At Randstad, we are selecting a maintenance technician for UIC (Universitat Internacional de Catalunya). We are looking for a motivated, versatile professional with a technical vision to take charge of the optimal care of the campuses, provide operational support during special events, and actively participate in renovation projects. If you have initiative and wish to join a dynamic and constantly growing work environment, this is your project!

What you'll do

Preventive and corrective maintenance of the facilities

  • Execute daily inspection rounds on campus, ensuring the optimal state of classrooms, offices, common areas, and laboratories.
  • Resolve day-to-day technical incidents related to electrical panels, lighting, HVAC, plumbing, and basic locksmithing.
  • Manage and update the status of work orders through the internal incident resolution system.

Operational support during special events and academic ceremonies

  • Perform the assembly and disassembly of furniture (stages, chairs, tables, lecterns, and tents) for graduations, open days, conferences, and institutional events.
  • Ensure the availability and correct functioning of power outlets, lighting, and HVAC in spaces reserved for events.
  • Coordinate agilely with other departments (such as IT, audiovisuals, or cleaning) to guarantee that events develop without technical setbacks.

Participation and supervision in works and renovations

  • Collaborate in the planning, logistics, and execution of small renovations or in the relocation and adaptation of new study and work spaces.
  • Accompany, guide, and supervise subcontracted external companies (installers, bricklayers, painters), ensuring they comply with risk prevention regulations and the campus quality standards.
