Senior Hardware Engineer

HW Engineer 6 to 10 Years of Experience.

A person who can integrate into a multidisciplinary team (hardware, optics, software, and mechanics) that develops optoelectronic equipment for remote diagnosis and measurement of direct current transmission cables in subsea and underground environments.

• Analyze and decompose system and equipment requirements, actively participating in the definition of technical solutions compatible with industry standards for power grid monitoring via vibrations and partial discharges.

• Perform detailed electronic and optical design of equipment, both at the schematic level and by providing technical support for the positioning and routing of PCBs and FPGAs

• Carry out analog and digital simulations, evaluating the design's behavior against different operating scenarios.

• Define and review prototyping and hardware validation procedures, ensuring compliance with functional, environmental, and reliability requirements.

• Execute assembly and functional testing of equipment and participate in environmental testing campaigns (thermal, vibration, etc.) and real-world use cases in Denmark and Norway, collaborating in the analysis of results.

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation associated with development (design, validation, technical justifications, reports, and project deliverables).

• Participate in technical reviews with partners of a European consortium, providing judgment and experience in design decision-making.
