About the role

At RDT we are currently recruiting a Manufacturing, Processes and Technical Subcontracting Engineer specializing in the Industrialization of New Products.

What you'll do

  • Drive product design and development from the early stages, defining optimal manufacturing processes (injection molding, extrusion, bending, thermoforming, among others) and selecting suitable materials.
  • Evaluate transformation and material alternatives, ensuring the balance between technical performance, industrial feasibility and cost-benefit.
  • Establish technical and quality criteria, in coordination with production and subcontracting teams.
  • Lead the development of industrialization plans: definition of processes, tooling, time estimation, cost analysis and validation of key suppliers.
  • Organize the technical documentation required for the proper transition from design to production.
  • Identify, evaluate and qualify strategic suppliers, ensuring their alignment with the project's technical and quality requirements.
  • Coordinate technical subcontracting: plant visits, quotation follow-up, negotiation of terms and formalization of agreements.
  • Coordinate and supervise pre-production and industrial launch phases, ensuring proper process execution and supporting the team until the product is stabilized in series production.

Requirements

  • Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in an industrial environment with a focus on the development and industrialization of new products.
  • In-depth knowledge of transformation processes, especially those related to steel (metal, plastic, wood, other materials...).
  • Experience in sectors with a strong technical-design component (technical furniture, automotive, habitat...).
  • English (minimum B2).
