About the role

What you'll do

You will be the person responsible for ensuring compliance with quality requirements throughout the different manufacturing phases, from material receipt to final product delivery.

  • Supervising compliance with the Inspection and Test Plan.

  • Managing and coordinating inspection points:

    • Hold Points

    • Witness Points

    • Review Points

  • Ensuring proper release and sign-off of quality milestones by the customer or third-party inspectors.

  • Verifying welded joints according to applicable procedures and standards.

  • Inspecting:

    • Surface finishes.

    • Alignments.

    • Geometries and dimensions.

    • Weld preparations and visual aspects.

  • Evaluating acceptance criteria in accordance with international codes and standards.

  • Performing or supervising tests according to your qualification level.

  • Coordinating external inspection suppliers when necessary.

  • Monitoring NDT techniques such as:

    • Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT).

    • WPQ

  • Knowledge of metal manufacturing processes.

  • Ability to interpret plans and technical documentation.

Nice to have

  • NDT certifications according to CERTIAEND or equivalent.

  • Qualification in:

    • VT

    • PT

    • MT

  • Knowledge of welding codes and standards, and manufacturing practices.

  • Experience in preparing quality documentation and dossiers.

  • Experience in sectors such as:

    • Capital equipment.

    • Boilermaking / heavy fabrication.

    • Steel structures.

    • Energy.

    • Oil & Gas.

    • Wind energy.

  • Certification as a Visual Welding Inspector.
