What you'll do

  • Ensure the availability, proper operation and evolution of energy control systems according to new needs, through proper specification, development, management of implementation, improvement, renewal and maintenance.
  • Ensure the availability of control systems and continuity of all their functions.
    • Participate in the management and maintenance of the different control systems of the GRE, guaranteeing their operability 24/7.
    • Coordinate and manage with the different support groups and suppliers the preventive and corrective maintenance of control systems.
    • Ensure the resolution of incidents affecting control systems within the established timeframes.
  • Drive the evolution of control systems and the adaptation of their functionality to the new needs of the environment.
    • Carry out the specification, in coordination with the business, of new needs and their prioritization.
    • Manage the development and implementation of enhancements covering the needs described above in the different system areas: SCADA, communications, generation applications, network applications, renewables management, historical data and real-time graphical representations.
    • Take responsibility for control system updates proactively, always maximizing the functionality available to the different user groups.
  • Build the appropriate integration mechanisms to enable the use of real-time data by the different areas of the group.
    • Integrations between information sources and control systems through internal or third-party communication channels.
    • Integration of data originating outside the control systems through intermediate platforms.
    • Construction of IoT communication gateways and use of their data by internal systems.
    • Publication of real-time data through different channels for use by third parties.

What we're looking for

  • Engineering degree (bachelor's + master's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Telecommunications), with sufficient professional experience (> 3 years) and accredited knowledge, recognized as equivalent by the company.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and analysis tools.
  • Very good level of English (other additional languages are valued).
  • Availability for on-call support duty (1 in 6 weeks).
  • Programming knowledge valued: Python, C. Knowledge of advanced data analysis techniques and their tools will be positively valued.
  • Project management knowledge valued (PMP).
  • Knowledge of dynamic stability analysis of electrical systems and use of tools for its study valued (tools valued: PSS/E static and dynamic, and Matlab Simulink). Knowledge and experience in studies of power electronics equipment interactions will be positively valued.
