What we're looking for

University studies in technology or equivalent training (technical or higher engineering degree in computer science, telecommunications, or equivalent).

+5 years of experience in IT systems administration.

Solid experience in systems administration with technical knowledge and demonstrable experience in the following areas:
- Windows / Linux
- JBoss, Apache, Tomcat
- Oracle or other database managers
- Virtualization platforms
- Automation and scripting
Ability to diagnose complex problems (performance, connectivity, application errors, and systems).
Experience participating in the design of complex systems
Basic knowledge and interest in cybersecurity
Basic knowledge of communications
Basic knowledge of application architecture

Nice to have

Active Directory / EntraID administration
Administration and operation of virtualization solutions: VMWare, KVM.
Administration and operation of cloud environments: AWS, Azure.
Administration and operation of container platforms: Kubernetes, Docker.
Automation and scripting: Rundeck/Ansible, Bash, Python, Powershell.
Monitoring and observability platforms.
Administration of web and application servers: Apache, Tomcat, JBoss, Weblogic.
Administration and operation of storage arrays: PureStorage, NetApp.
Administration and operation of backup solutions: TSM, Cohesity.
Experience in managing projects for the implementation and evolution of IT Systems.
Certifications in systems administration and operation will be valued.

We are looking to bring on board an IT Infrastructure and Operations Technician to join the IT Infrastructures and Operations Department at Redeia Corporación.

What you'll do

Collaborate in the design, definition, and maintenance of a technical architecture for Redeia's IT infrastructures that provides business units with an integrated, high-quality, secure, and efficient service.
Manage, coordinate, and support the deployment and operation of the IT technology solutions to be implemented, according to established quality, efficiency, and reliability levels.
Coordinate the implementation of technical security measures in the technology field, proposing improvements for consideration.
Organize the development of technology project plans and technology renewal, as well as participate in cybersecurity plans within their area of responsibility.
Administration, operation, and improvement of Redeia's critical IT infrastructures.
Coordination and resolution of complex incidents.
Define and coordinate the testing and execution activities necessary to implement infrastructures and the digital workplace.
Manage the processes for contracting new services and projects within the department, as well as carry out contract follow-up.
Manage relationships with suppliers regarding infrastructure services within their scope of responsibility.
