We are looking to bring in a Telecommunications Technician (OSS/Orchestration) to join the Telecommunications Department team at Red Eléctrica.

What you'll do

1. Evolution of network management systems: lead the improvement and evolution of the management systems (OSS) used to operate the telecommunications network, especially in Nokia IP/MPLS and DWDM environments, seeking more integrated, efficient, reliable and service-oriented management.

2. Orchestration and automation of operational processes: collaborate in defining and implementing automated workflows for provisioning, changes, monitoring, supervision and service operation, reducing manual tasks and promoting more consistent and traceable execution.

3. Development of autonomous network capabilities: contribute to the progressive evolution toward autonomous network models, supporting the adoption of automation, intent-driven control, analytics and continuous improvement cycles aligned with telco industry approaches.

4. Digital improvement of operational management: identify and implement improvements in the department's internal processes, helping to structure information, simplify activities, strengthen data quality and improve visibility of operations and projects.

5. AI applied to operations and continuous improvement: participate in AI initiatives applied to network operation, alarm management, information analysis, incident detection, documentation and decision-making support, contributing to more agile and advanced management.

Requirements

1. Education and Training:

Required Qualification: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Bachelor's degree in Data Engineering/Science and Artificial Intelligence, or equivalent technical qualification, given the network management, systems integration and operational tool evolution component.

 Desirable Training: training or certifications in IP/MPLS networks, DWDM optical networks, management tools such as Nokia NSP, OSS environments, process automation and telecommunications service management.

2. Professional Experience:

Specific training in TM Forum, autonomous network models, service orchestration, platform integration and the use of AI/AIOps applied to network operation and assurance will be valued.

Minimum required experience: 3 years in operations environments, advanced support, implementation or evolution of telecommunications management systems.

Experience with OSS/NMS tools for monitoring, inventory, provisioning, configuration, assurance and incident resolution, preferably with knowledge of Nokia NSP or equivalent platforms.

Experience in automation or orchestration initiatives for operational processes, aimed at reducing manual tasks, improving traceability and accelerating service provisioning or operation.

3. Personal Skills (Soft Skills):

Innovative Mindset: technical curiosity to seek disruptive solutions (AI, LLM) that improve traditional maintenance.

Structured vision and process orientation: ability to organize, simplify and improve telecommunications management and operation processes.

Cross-functional coordination skills: ease of working with other internal areas and external suppliers, keeping focus on results and operational continuity.

4. Other Requirements:

Languages: High level of English (minimum B2) for communication with technology suppliers and reading advanced technical documentation.
