The role

We are a global Ibex 35 group that develops high‑value, innovative concession, engineering, and services projects across more than 20 countries where we operate.

We are looking for someone like you to join our #RumboSacyr and help us continue improving people's lives.

As part of the team, we are looking for an experienced Contract & Commercial Manager to act on behalf of the client, ensuring effective contract administration, stakeholder management, supplier coordination, risk mitigation and commercial protection throughout project delivery. The role will lead contractual communications, variation management, issue resolution and dispute processes, while working closely with project, engineering, construction and operations teams to ensure suppliers meet all contractual obligations and project objectives are achieved safely, on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the client's contractual interests throughout the project, acting as the primary interface with suppliers, supporting the Project Manager, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, minimizing commercial risks and contract variations, and facilitating the successful delivery of project objectives.

  • Ensure alignment between contractual obligations and project execution by monitoring commitments, participating in project reviews and stakeholder meetings, providing commercial reporting, and proactively managing notifications, variations, and potential risks across all contract interfaces.

  • Manage all supplier contractual interactions by leading communications, contract administration, variations, change management, claims avoidance, dispute resolution, and performance monitoring, while ensuring timely stakeholder coordination, accurate documentation, and compliance with contractual obligations throughout project execution.

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual and commercial risks across all project contracts, advising project leadership on risk exposure, managing variation impacts, and ensuring effective coordination between contract interfaces to prevent commercial or legal liabilities.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, and applicable EH&S, legal, engineering, procurement, and financial standards, while maintaining audit readiness and supporting adherence to governance and regulatory obligations throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Proactively identify and resolve contractual and commercial issues throughout the project lifecycle, leading escalation processes, coordinating stakeholder engagement, and ensuring timely communication, documentation, and compliance with contractual dispute resolution procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline; MBA or professional certifications (CPM, APICS) are advantageous.

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Contract Management, preferably within EPC, Design & Construct, Construction, Mining, Resources, or large-scale infrastructure projects.

  • Proven experience managing complex contracts and coordinating multidisciplinary stakeholders in project environments.

  • Strong understanding of engineering, procurement, construction, and site based project execution.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify risks, solve problems proactively, and deliver results in fast paced, deadline driven environments.

  • Excellent attention to detail, communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership skills.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of driving successful outcomes while working collaboratively with project teams.

Why to join us?

  • Be part of a globally recognised infrastructure group.

  • The opportunity to be part of a dynamic work environment guided by three core principles: collaborative intelligence, excellence, and comprehensive social responsibility.
