Requirements

Technical foundation: You hold a Higher Vocational Training qualification, a University Degree, or equivalent professional experience in Systems Administration, Computer Networks, Telecommunications, Cybersecurity, Computer Science or a related technical field.
Experience and knowledge:
At least 2 years of hands-on experience in Linux systems administration or a similar role.
Strong practical knowledge of Linux administration, including systemd, package management, users and permissions, filesystems, logs, scheduled tasks, SSH, and service troubleshooting.
Experience with Bash, Ansible, and Git.
Working knowledge of AWS EC2, IAM, VPC, Security Groups, EBS and S3.
Experience with hardening, patching and vulnerability remediation.
Ability to troubleshoot system, storage, performance and connectivity issues.
Autonomy and Teamwork: Good technical documentation skills and the ability to progressively work autonomously within a small technical team.
Communication skills: Fluent Spanish, as the working language, and technical English for documentation and security advisories.

As a Linux & AWS Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for administering, maintaining, and continuously improving Linux systems across on-premises and AWS environments. You will contribute to the secure, reliable, and efficient operation of the infrastructure through systems administration, automation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management.

Your mission

Your mission will be to administer, maintain, automate, and continuously improve SATLANTIS' Linux and AWS infrastructure, ensuring reliable and efficient systems operation across on-premises and cloud environments.

You main responsibilities will be:

  • Linux and AWS infrastructure: Administer, maintain, deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Linux systems and services across on-premises and AWS environments.
  • System security and lifecycle management: Implement ISMS technical controls and approved hardening baselines aligned with applicable CCN-STIC guides, ENS High-category requirements, and CIS Benchmarks. Manage security patching, vulnerability remediation, and secure configuration throughout the system lifecycle.
  • Access and system administration: Manage users, permissions, privileged access, sudo, SSH, and related system administration tasks.
  • Automation and configuration management: Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and Bash automation scripts, and manage configuration and automation code using Git.
  • Monitoring, logging, and backups: Configure system monitoring, logging, and alerting. Manage backups and perform periodic restoration tests.
  • Security operations: Support technical response and remediation during security incidents, and deploy, maintain, and verify the health and coverage of EDR and other security agents across the Linux estate.
  • Documentation and compliance: Maintain system inventories, technical documentation, and operating procedures, and generate technical evidence for compliance and audits.
  • Risk and change management: Identify and escalate technical risks to the Head of IT & Cybersecurity, and document and execute system changes in accordance with the organisation's change management procedures.
