We are a young company with a long track record and in a growth phase.
At Quark, we design infrastructures to digitally connect the world in a safe, efficient, and sustainable way; developing engineering, PM/CM, and consulting services.
Our early specialization and constant commitment to the adoption of technological advances has made us a company recognized internationally for the talent, quality, and innovation of each of its projects.
Every Data Center we develop involves highly demanding technical decisions behind it: how to guarantee service continuity, how to ensure true redundancy, how to integrate electrical systems with architecture, mechanics, or control without any margin for error.
And that is where the electrical team plays a key role.
To strengthen our team, we are looking to hire an Electrical Studies and Calculations Specialist Engineer, with demonstrable experience in the use of ETAP for the analysis and simulation of medium and low voltage electrical systems.
We are looking for a profile with solid technical knowledge in electrical engineering, coming from sectors such as industry, power generation, electrical infrastructure, or high-criticality facilities, who wants to apply their experience to the development of large-scale Data Center projects of high technical complexity.
Previous experience in Data Centers is not required, but a solid track record in the development of electrical studies using specialized simulation tools is.
You will be responsible for the development, configuration, and maintenance of electrical models in ETAP for medium and low voltage facilities, including distribution networks, transformers, generators, UPS systems, electrical panels, and loads.
You will develop models that allow for the analysis of different network configurations and operating scenarios, verifying the behavior of electrical systems and contributing to the optimization of their design.
You will perform electrical studies using ETAP, including mainly:
Load Flow studies and voltage drop analysis.
Short-circuit studies according to IEC and ANSI/IEEE standards.
Coordination, selectivity, and electrical protection adjustment studies.
Harmonics and power quality analysis.
Arc Flash studies.
Motor starting studies and analysis of their impact on the grid.
Grounding system studies.
Analysis of different operating scenarios, contingencies, and redundancy configurations.
You will interpret the results obtained, identify possible design problems, and propose technical solutions that guarantee the safety, reliability, and correct operation of the facilities.
You will participate in the definition and validation of the design criteria for electrical systems, providing technical support through calculations and simulations.
You will contribute to the sizing of equipment, selection of protections, and verification of the electrical characteristics of the facilities, ensuring consistency between the studies performed and the proposed engineering solutions.
Preparation of technical documentation and calculation reports
You will develop and review technical reports of the studies performed, justifying the calculation hypotheses, methodologies used, results obtained, and design recommendations.
You will collaborate in the review of single-line diagrams, technical specifications, data sheets, and manufacturer documentation, verifying their consistency with the electrical calculation models and results.
You will work in close collaboration with the electrical engineering teams of different national and international projects, providing specialized support in electrical calculations and studies.
You will participate in technical meetings with design teams, clients, and suppliers to present and justify study results, resolve technical issues, and contribute to engineering decision-making.
Previous experience in the Data Center sector is not essential, while experience in electrical studies for industrial, energy facilities, or complex electrical infrastructures is especially relevant.
You will ensure that electrical studies are developed in accordance with applicable regulations and technical standards, including IEC, IEEE, EN, NFPA, and NEC, depending on the requirements of each project.
You will contribute to establishing and improving calculation methodologies, technical criteria, and electrical modeling and simulation procedures within the team.
