Senior Contract Manager

We are looking for a person with training and knowledge in contract management and project management, with extensive professional experience, and with analytical capacity, organization, and judgment.

More than 5 years of experience in contractual management of complex projects

Previous experience or knowledge in engineering, infrastructure, construction, transport, energy, or similar sectors will be valued.

Training required:

• University degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Construction, or a related discipline.

• Advanced professional English; other languages will be valued depending on the project environment.

At Sener, we continue to grow and want to incorporate new talent into our team; we are looking for a Senior Contract Manager to join the team. The selected person will be located in our Tres Cantos (Madrid) offices.

Their main mission will be to comprehensively manage contracts throughout their entire life cycle, ensuring compliance with obligations, the protection of rights, and the correct management of risks, changes, and claims. Their objective is to anticipate impacts, maintain contractual traceability, and protect the economic and operational results of the project.

Regarding the responsibilities of this position, the following stand out:

• Manage complex contracts throughout their entire life cycle.

• Prepare and keep the Contract Management Plan updated.

• Participate in the review and negotiation of contractual conditions.

• Identify contractual risks and opportunities, issue early notifications within the deadline, and propose mitigation measures.

• Prepare and manage variations and claims: detect, notify, analyze evidence, assess impacts, formalize, and register.

• Administer the records of obligations, communications, Early Warnings, variations, claims, milestones, and decisions.

• Advise the Project Director on decisions, negotiations, escalations, and dispute prevention.

• Coordinate the contractual management of suppliers, subcontractors, partners, and consortia. (Optional, but knowledge of this would be a plus)

• Manage contractual closure: payments, guarantees, claims, reconciliations, documentary delivery, and lessons learned.

• Ensure a single and reliable source of contractual information and promote the digitalization of repetitive tasks.

• Coordinate contractual information with Project Managers and with the planning, cost, procurement, finance, legal, and other project discipline areas.
