Requirements

What we're looking for

  • A degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in site-based QA/QC roles, ideally within EPC or HVDC projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction standards (civil, mechanical, electrical), welding procedures, and supplier quality management.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills, with proficiency in both Spanish and English.

Nice to have

  • Certifications such as ISO Lead Auditor, CWI, NDT Level II, or ASQ are preferred.

The role

Join us as a QA/QC Site Engineer, where you will be the cornerstone of quality assurance on-site! Imagine leading the charge in ensuring that all quality requirements are met according to directives, standards, and technical specifications. You will act as the primary quality advisor to the site team, coordinating with project teams, clients, and contractors to uphold the highest quality standards. Your expertise will guide the implementation of QA/QC procedures, ensuring compliance and driving continuous improvement initiatives that support our business objectives.

What you'll do

  • Lead and coordinate all site quality functions across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
  • Ensure the successful implementation of site-specific quality plans, including Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and Field Quality Plans (FQPs).
  • Participate in kick-off meetings, quality reviews, and acceptance inspections with clients and third parties, overseeing inspections and tests for proper documentation and traceability.
  • Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) in collaboration with the project team, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Provide quality training to site personnel and subcontractors, driving continuous improvement initiatives and supporting audits and internal reviews.
