Job description

At SOCOTEC Spain, we are looking for an Irrigation Projects and Hydraulic Infrastructure Manager to join our Hydraulic and Hydroelectric Engineering team.

We are looking for a highly experienced profile that brings a consolidated track record in the drafting, management, and signing of irrigation projects and hydraulic infrastructures for public bodies, irrigation communities, and administrations.

The selected person will be responsible for technically leading strategic projects, participating in the preparation of public tenders, and providing verifiable experience that allows for the reinforcement of the company's technical solvency in irrigation competitions both in Catalonia and throughout the rest of the national territory.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical management and coordination of irrigation projects and hydraulic infrastructures.
Drafting and signing of projects for public administrations and irrigation communities.
Design and supervision of irrigation networks, pumping stations, regulation basins, and hydraulic conduits.
Development and supervision of hydraulic modeling and optimization of distribution networks.
Coordination of multidisciplinary teams during all phases of the project.
Supervision of the technical quality of the documentation prepared.
Participation in the preparation of offers and public tenders related to irrigation.
Liaison with clients, administrations, and public bodies.
Technical and economic monitoring of assigned projects.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Education: Agricultural Engineering or equivalent qualifying degree.
Minimum verifiable experience of 15 years in irrigation projects and hydraulic infrastructures.
Demonstrable experience in the management and signing of irrigation projects.
Verifiable experience in:
- Irrigation networks.
- Pumping stations.
- Regulation basins.
- Hydraulic modeling.
- Hydraulic infrastructures.
Ability to lead projects autonomously.
Availability for occasional travel.

WILL BE VALUED

Experience with contracts with Infraestructures de Catalunya and ASG.
Experience with equivalent bodies from other autonomous communities.
Experience in the preparation of technical documentation for public tenders.
Possession of certificates of good execution for completed projects.
Having managed projects of great technical complexity.
Experience in projects developed both in Catalonia and in the rest of Spain.
Leadership, negotiation, and business development skills.
Knowledge of GIS, SIGOPRAM, TCQ/PRESTO
