About the role

At SOCOTEC Spain, we are looking for an Irrigation and Hydraulic Infrastructure Project Manager to join our Hydraulic and Hydroelectric Engineering team.

We are looking for a highly experienced profile with a proven track record in drafting, managing, and signing irrigation and hydraulic infrastructure projects for public bodies, irrigation communities, and administrations.

The selected candidate will be responsible for technically leading strategic projects, participating in the preparation of public tenders, and providing verifiable experience that strengthens the company's technical solvency in irrigation tenders both in Catalonia and across the rest of the country.

What you'll do

  • Technical management and coordination of irrigation and hydraulic infrastructure projects.

  • Drafting and signing of projects for public administrations and irrigation communities.

  • Design and supervision of irrigation networks, pumping stations, regulation reservoirs, and hydraulic pipelines.

  • Development and supervision of hydraulic modelling and optimization of distribution networks.

  • Coordination of multidisciplinary teams throughout all project phases.

  • Supervision of the technical quality of the documentation produced.

  • Participation in the preparation of bids and public tenders related to irrigation.

  • Liaising with clients, administrations, and public bodies.

  • Technical and financial monitoring of assigned projects.

What we're looking for

  • Education: Agricultural Engineering or equivalent qualifying degree.

  • Minimum verifiable experience of 15 years in irrigation and hydraulic infrastructure projects.

  • Demonstrable experience in managing and signing irrigation projects.

  • Verifiable experience in:

    • Irrigation networks.

    • Pumping stations.

    • Regulation reservoirs.

    • Hydraulic modelling.

    • Hydraulic infrastructure.

  • Ability to lead projects autonomously.

  • Availability for occasional travel.

Nice to have

  • Experience with contracts for Infraestructures de Catalunya and ASG.

  • Experience with equivalent bodies in other autonomous communities.
