The role

Are you ready to play a key role in monitoring and controlling renewable energy assets, helping keep solar and battery projects performing safely and efficiently around the clock?

We are looking for a Monitoring and Control Centre Operator to join our Operations team. Working as part of a 24/7 control centre, you will monitor the real-time performance of our solar PV, BESS and hybrid PV+BESS assets, using monitoring systems, dashboards and alarms to quickly identify issues, respond to operational events and ensure the right teams are engaged when action is needed.

You will follow established operational and safety procedures, manage alarms and escalations, maintain accurate records and support effective shift handovers. As our portfolio and control capabilities develop, you will also support BESS operation and delegated dispatch activities, including monitoring state of charge and power limits, executing and recording setpoints and curtailment instructions, and coordinating with Commercial Dispatch, O&M, service providers and other operational teams. You will also help improve our monitoring processes, tools and ways of working to support a reliable, efficient and high-performing control centre.

Summary of the role

Desirable skills

  • Experience working in a monitoring centre, control room, technical operations or similar environment, ideally within renewable energy or power generation
  • Experience using SCADA, monitoring platforms, dashboards and alarm management systems, with strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret operational data
  • Knowledge or experience of solar PV, BESS or hybrid PV+BESS assets, including battery state of charge, charge/discharge behaviour, power limits and operational or safety alarms
  • Understanding of delegated dispatch or control-centre operations, including interaction with TSOs, DSOs or market agents, setpoint management, curtailment and operational instructions
  • Knowledge and/or experience with an REE-certified CCGD, including real-time metering, setpoint management and communication with CECRE, would be advantageous
