Plant Environment Technician

You will join a key department for the organization, participating in plant environmental management and contributing to the highest standards of sustainability and safety.

Your main responsibilities

✅ Supervise the correct operation of the WWTP (Wastewater Treatment Plant).

✅ Perform sampling and analytical controls in the laboratory.

✅ Manage chemicals related to water treatment.

✅ Perform checks and basic preventive maintenance on equipment.

✅ Supervise the segregation and management of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.

✅ Coordinate collections with authorized managers.

✅ Detect and manage environmental incidents through inspection rounds.

✅ Control emission systems and ensure legal compliance.

✅ Promote good environmental practices among plant personnel.

What are we looking for?

• Training as a Senior Technician in Environmental Chemistry, Environmental Health, Forestry and Natural Environment Management, or related specialties.
• We will also value university degrees in Environmental Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or similar.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in industrial environments, especially in WWTP operation and waste management.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations, hazardous waste, and chemical storage (APQ).
• Ability to interpret analyses and use field measuring equipment.

Tus principales responsabilidades

✅ Supervisar el correcto funcionamiento de la EDAR.

✅ Realizar tomas de muestras y controles analíticos en laboratorio.

✅ Gestionar productos químicos vinculados al tratamiento de aguas.

✅ Realizar verificaciones y mantenimiento preventivo básico de los equipos.

✅ Supervisar la segregación y gestión de residuos peligrosos y no peligrosos.

✅ Coordinar recogidas con gestores autorizados.

✅ Detectar y gestionar incidencias ambientales mediante rondas de inspección.

✅ Controlar sistemas de emisiones y garantizar el cumplimiento legal.

✅ Promover las buenas prácticas ambientales entre el personal de planta.

¿Qué buscamos?

• Formación de Técnico Superior en Química Ambiental, Salud Ambiental, Gestión Forestal y del Medio Natural o especialidades afines.
• También valoraremos titulaciones universitarias en Ciencias Ambientales, Ingeniería Química o similares.
• Experiencia de 1 a 2 años en entornos industriales, especialmente en operación de EDAR y gestión de residuos.
• Conocimientos de normativa ambiental, residuos peligrosos y almacenamiento de productos químicos (APQ).
• Capacidad para interpretar análisis químicos y utilizar equipos de medición de campo.
