👉 Environmental Technician - PV & BESS to join our Development team.
We are looking for a person to help us environmentally manage our renewable projects from the early development and permitting phases through to construction, with a special focus on environmental monitoring on-site and the management of compensatory measures.
What you'll do
Perform the environmental and territorial analysis of new projects, identifying risks, impacts, and constraints.
Support the permitting and environmental assessment of renewable projects and monitor EIAs, IEAs, permits, and environmental constraints.
Manage and monitor preventive, corrective, and compensatory measures, such as agricultural measures, water points, nest boxes, or other actions associated with the projects.
Search for, select, and coordinate environmental suppliers and consultancies in charge of executing the different measures.
Perform environmental monitoring during construction, including site visits, coordination with Engineering and Construction, and the identification and resolution of environmental incidents.
Supervise the environmental monitoring work carried out by external companies, ensuring compliance with the obligations of each project.
Prepare reports, monitoring matrices, and environmental documentation.
Participate in Environmental Due Diligence processes and project sales.
Coordination with Public Administrations, consultancies, and internal Development, Engineering, Construction, Legal, and M&A teams.
You will work on a portfolio of projects mainly photovoltaic, BESS, and hybridizations in different geographies of Spain, with monthly visits to the projects.
Requirements
What we're looking for
Degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Forestry Engineering, Energy, or similar.
+2 years of experience in environmental management of projects within the renewable energy sector
Practical experience in environmental compensatory measures and monitoring their execution.
Knowledge of environmental legislation and Environmental Impact Assessment procedures in Spain. We will especially value experience in photovoltaic and BESS projects, environmental monitoring during construction, Environmental Due Diligence, and interaction with Public Administrations.
Experience working with EIAs/IEAs, constraints, and environmental obligations.
Experience in environmental monitoring of projects and coordination with consultancies/suppliers.
Knowledge of GIS/QGIS for consulting cartography, impact analysis, and the creation of simple maps.
Availability to perform periodic visits to projects in Spain.

Supervisar los trabajos de vigilancia ambiental realizados por empresas externas, asegurando el cumplimiento de las obligaciones de cada proyecto.
Elaborar informes, matrices de seguimiento y documentación ambiental.
Participar en procesos de Environmental Due Diligence y venta de proyectos.
Coordinación con Administraciones Públicas, consultoras y equipos internos de Desarrollo, Ingeniería, Construcción, Legal y M&A.
