What we're looking for

Solid experience in maintenance and development services in IBM i / AS400 environments.
Experience with RPG IV ILE in free-form.
Development of ILE programs, modules, and RPG service programs with embedded SQL.
Data access via SQL DB2 for i (SQL).
Proficiency in CL (Control Language).
Experience in development following best practices, modularity, and code maintainability.

Nice to have

Advanced SQL (stored procedures, UDF, views, and cursors).
Experience in modernizing legacy RPG applications.
Knowledge of specific insurance sector solutions (for example, Insure90) in modernized environments.

The role

We are looking for an AS400 Analyst Programmer to join a stable project in the insurance sector. The position is oriented towards professionals with experience in maintenance and development on IBM i / AS400 environments, working with modern RPG technologies and development best practices.

How you'll work

Work Modality (100% Remote): Full teleworking is permitted if the candidate resides in any of the following locations

Andalucía (full), Murcia, Alicante, Castellón, Albacete, Ciudad Real, Cáceres, Badajoz, Salamanca, León or Canary Islands.

Reasons for rejection

Experience based on RPG fixed format or RPG III.
Use of native data access instructions such as CHAIN, READ, WRITE or UPDATE.
Development of new solutions using SDA, RLU or DDS.
