Requirements

What we're looking for

Solid experience in embedded Linux, Yocto, and C development.
Experience with Linux Kernel and driver development.
Knowledge of Device Tree, BSP, cross-compilation, and hardware debugging.
Experience in build systems, CI/CD, and OTA updates.
Technical leadership capacity and responsibility for solutions from end to end.
Fluent English, both spoken and written.
Regular experience with AI agents for programming, review, and testing.

Nice to have

Experience developing Wi-Fi or Bluetooth drivers.
Knowledge of Secure Boot, image signing, and secure updates.
Interest in wired and wireless network protocols.

The role

Embedded Linux / Yocto Software Lead (Tech Debt)

We are looking for an Embedded Linux / Yocto Software Lead to work on the evolution and maintenance of embedded Linux systems in network and Wi-Fi measurement devices.

The selected person will be responsible for improving the shared Linux base, maintaining drivers, and optimizing compilation, update, and security processes across different hardware generations.

What you'll do

Develop and maintain Yocto-based Linux images, including layers, recipes, and BSP.
Develop and maintain Linux kernel drivers.
Perform board bring-up tasks, Device Tree configuration, cross-compilation, and debugging on real hardware.
Maintain CI/CD compilation and publishing processes, ensuring reproducible builds and OTA updates.
Implement security mechanisms such as Secure Boot, signed images, and signed OTA updates.
Technically lead maintenance tasks and technical debt reduction.
Use AI tools for development, code review, testing, and quality control.
Collaborate with international teams and participate in on-call rotations when applicable.

How you'll work

Location: Alicante
Modality: Hybrid, with office presence 2-3 days per week.
Schedule: Monday to Thursday from 8:00 to 18:00 and Friday from 8:00 to 14:30. In summer, Monday to Thursday from 8:00 to 15:00 and Friday from 8:00 to 14:30.
