The Global Security Architecture Management, integrated into the Global Security and Intelligence Directorate, is responsible for defining the reference security architecture of the Telefónica Group and for selecting and implementing the technologies that achieve the security objectives established therein.

It operates transversally across the Group's various technological domains (public and hybrid cloud, networks, IT infrastructures, identity, Secure Service Edge, and Artificial Intelligence), acting as a technical reference for all security areas and coordinating its integration with the company's processes and technical areas.

What will your mission be? 🎯

The design of parts of the Group's global security architecture and the selection and implementation of the technologies that meet the security objectives set therein. This involves being the reference for all security areas of the Telefónica Group in the technological domains associated with the architecture under their responsibility, designing the reference architecture, landing it in concrete technological solutions that respond to security requirements, ensuring its fit with the Group's needs—covering processes and procedures and aligning with the company's technical areas—leading technology selection processes and, where applicable, the development of global framework agreements, as well as technically coordinating the deployment of global solutions, ensuring their successful use and the achievement of the sought security objectives.

What skills are we looking for in you? 🔎

  • Knowledge of Generative AI (fundamentals of how LLMs work, architectures of applications using LLMs, use cases in business and security) and of techniques to ensure its use in application development and business processes.
  • Models and capabilities in specific clouds (Azure, O365, GCP, AWS).
  • Vendor management, evaluation processes, and RFP.
  • Deployment of international projects within the Telefónica Group, managing both their technological aspects and the various stakeholders involved.
  • Reference security architecture models.
  • Secure Service Edge security technologies and products: Secure Web Gateway, CASB, DLP, and ZTNA, and their application to protect the use of Artificial Intelligence applications.
  • Security architectures and components in public clouds, including security management and compliance platforms (CSPM) and the security posture of Artificial Intelligence assets.

How will you contribute to the purpose of the role with your skills? 💼

1. Design and Governance of the Reference Security Architecture

Identify the technological and operational process domains that require security capabilities and establish the framework for integrating components into a technological architecture, as well as the end-to-end processes involved in its operation. It will act as a technical reference for all security areas of the Group in the domains under its responsibility.

2. Technological Implementation of the Architecture

Land the designed reference architecture into concrete technological solutions that respond to security needs and requirements, ensuring its fit with the Group's needs and covering the associated processes and procedures.

3. Capture and Documentation of Requirements from Consumer Areas

Capture and document the requirements of the areas consuming reference architecture capabilities (cybersecurity, CSIRT, fraud, audit, etc.) across all Group companies, to ensure the optimization of processes and capabilities towards achieving maximum security maturity.

4. Technology Selection and Roadmaps

Define, drive, and coordinate the aligned technology selection of security architecture components across all areas relevant to Telefónica, including the establishment of roadmaps for their evolution. Lead technology selection processes and, where applicable, the development of global framework agreements.

5. Technology Monitoring

Monitor technological trends and operational practices and feed them into the frameworks for defining and prescribing the reference security architecture.

6. Execution of Strategic Special Projects
